The World According to Innocent Realism: The One and the Many, the Real and the Imaginary, the Natural and the Social

  • Susan Haack
Part of the Münster Lectures in Philosophy book series (MUELP, volume 2)

In this lecture Prof. Haack articulates her signature metaphysical theory, Innocent Realism. The world of Innocent Realism is rich and varied, but also integrated: it is a pluralistic universe of natural stuff, things, phenomena, kinds, and laws overlaid, in “our” part of the world, by our thoughts, dreams, etc., by our social institutions, rules, and laws, and by a vast array of human artifacts, physical, intellectual, and imaginative.
