Abstract

Having introduced and briefly discussed DMAIC, PDSA, and PDCA cycles in the preceding chapter, this chapter considers how specific tools could be used in conjunction with any of these three processes to implement improvement projects. For simplicity and for illustrative purposes, the chapter will focus on the PDCA (plan, do, control, act) as a template to provide a stepwise guide on utilization of a myriad of quality improvement tools.
