Abstract

Impact of graphene coatings on nanoscale tribological properties of miniaturised mechanical objects has been examined. In order to do so, a set of steel, copper-platted specimens has been used, upon which graphen coating has been deposited. Their mechanical and tribological properties such as friction coefficient, hardness and Young’s modulus, before and after covering of these samples with graphene layer, have been compared. The results are outlined in the paper, some interesting properties have been found.
