Abstract

The aim of this chapter is to scrutinize problems, modelling approaches and algorithms employed to adapt and parameterize the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method under lead time uncertainty and to discourse about some potential research areas. The analysis and discussion could help the community deal with variabilities, formalizing the uncertainty of lead times and facilitating development of methods for solving identified problems.
