Biometric recognition, the use of the human physiological and behavioral characteristics for personal authentication , has a long history. In fact, we use it every day. We commonly recognize people based on their face , voice , and gait. Signatures are recognized as an official verification method in legal and commercial transactions. Fingerprints and DNA have been considered effective methods for forensic applications including investigating crimes, identifying bodies, and determining parenthood. Recently, more and more effort has been put on developing effective multispectral biometric systems for various security demands.
