Abstract
Healthcare data contributes to a major portion of data that is accumulated in the world. There is a lot of scope for analytics considering the amount of data that is generated. Experts have identified the need for analytics to improve the quality of healthcare and improve care coordination for patients. In this chapter, we will talk about various market factors affecting healthcare and how big data and analytics can help bring out value from data. We will look into interesting facts about various technology adoptions like IBM Watson and how these new technology adoptions play a vital role in improving the quality of care.
