Abstract
The chapter presents the author’s own teaching experience in theory and research methodology of quality life in different academic programs (graduate and post-graduate), and in different fields, namely, Social Work, Childhood, Youth and Political Sciences, since the early twenty-first century in South America.
It, likewise, reflects the way university students profit by the so-called “helping professions” such as Social Work, in the study of the quality of life theory, thus facilitating the development of their future professional role.
It, finally, takes into consideration the cases presented in doctoral theses and post- doctoral studies applying the quality of life theory and research methodology, which are likely to produce an increasing development in the quality of life studies in the region.
