Abstract
Vaser ultrasound is selective. This depends on the sole ability of the ultrasound energy to obtain the emulsification of the fat cells through the physical phenomenon named “cavitation.” Vaser in superficial subcutaneous tissue helps in thinning the dermal fat layer, allowing the skin to retract much more than with standard liposuction.
The author describes the technique of lipoabdominoplasty including liposuction, surgical excision, navel preparation, and postoperative care. Possible complications are discussed. This is followed by several clinical cases.
