Abstract
Pancreatic surgery for malignancy can be broadly classified into curative or palliative surgery. Every attempt is made to devise a decision preoperatively; however, despite the best imaging currently available, locally advanced or metastatic disease is found in 15–20 % on exploration for a curative intent.
