Abstract
Progress achieved in childhood cancer care in developed countries is a real success story of modern era. In tropical region, it is however challenging, and most of the children do not have access to adequate care. Lack of well-trained staff, medication, supplies, good organization of care, and parents’ support is the main characteristic of care in this area. Most children may however get adapted diagnosis and treatment approaches and have significant chances of cure. This can be reached when good clinical skills and proper use of basic diagnostic tools and medications are in place. International support or twinning programs may have a great impact in improving local expertise, helping in good organization of care and providing support.
