Abstract
Hypersomnias of central origin are relatively rare when compared to hypersomnia secondary to medical conditions like sleep-disordered breathing and consist of the following conditions: narcolepsy (type 1) with cataplexy, narcolepsy (type 2) without cataplexy, idiopathic hypersomnia, Kleine–Levin syndrome, and behaviorally induced insufficient sleep syndrome
