Abstract

A broad overview of cutaneous malignancies and squamous cell carcinoma involving the head and neck. Topics covered including diagnosis, pathophysiology, staging, and surgical management. Outline of the “reconstruction ladder” with regard to soft-tissue and bony defects in the head and neck. Techniques covered include primary closure, skin grafting, local/regional flaps, as well as free tissue transfer.
