Abstract
The idea underpinning process mining techniques is that most business processes that are executed with the support of an information system, leave traces of their activity executions and this information, which is stored in the so-called “log files”. The aim of process mining is indeed to discover, starting from these logs, as much information as possible. In particular, control-flow discovery aspire to synthesizing a business process model out of data.
