An Analysis of Discrepant Husband-Wife Data

Abstract

The paper examines the measurement properties and variable structure underlying husbands’ and wives’ responses relating to their perceptions of relative power in a joint decision making situation. Findings indicate that each spouse’s perception of relative power should best be treated as a distinct construct.
