Abstract

This is a brief psychopharmacological overview of the various classes of medications shown to have efficacy in treating pain as alternatives or adjuvants to traditional opioid therapy. This includes TCAs, SNRIs, SSRIs, neuroleptics, benzodiazepines, MAOIs, mood stabilizers, and antiepileptics.
