Abstract

Consensus methodology is nowadays widely used, but it does not consider the time component of gathering knowledge. We observe how introducing expanding conflict profile influences the behavior of consensus methods for integrating knowledge. This allows observing temporary consensus for partial data, as opposed to only final consensus for all data. We describe some basic notions of how expanding conflict profile changes various parts of consensus methodology. We also observe this approach experimentally, showing that for different data structures temporary consensus is convergent to final consensus. We briefly describe how this approach may be used to work with data-streams.
