Abstract

This chapter introduces analog integrated circuits (ICs) design and design automation. The chapter starts by framing analog ICs in the semiconductors’ industry and a brief introduction on how they are designed. Then, the motivation for research in their design automation, and finally, the research goals of this work that focus on analog IC sizing optimization are outlined.
