Abstract
Most nerve sheath tumors are benign. They can be schwannomas or neurofibromas. They either occur sporadically or as part of neurofibromatosis (NF) I or II , or schwannomatosis . Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors (MPNST ) are rare but more common in NF I , especially in plexiform neurofibroma .
