Abstract
A strong knowledge of anatomy is critical to be a successful dosimetrist. This strong knowledge will help you design the appropriate treatment plan to maximize the tumor coverage while minimizing normal tissue damage. Physicians will also expect that you have a strong knowledge of anatomy when they discuss the treatment plan with you. In this chapter, we have taken cross-sectional images from a computed tomography scan so that you can test your understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and improve your skills as a dosimetrist.
