PowerFactory Applications for Power System Analysis

Part of the book series: Power Systems ((POWSYS))

Abstract

Frequency stability and active power control is one of the principle tasks of improving the security and reliability of power system operation. The chapter covers the various aspects of simulation of frequency control in power systems. The chapter is divided into three parts. In the first part, the elements of the frequency control are considered and main equations are presented. In the second part, PowerFactory software model of automatic generation control (AGC) is considered. In the third part, the results of load flow and transient simulation are presented.
