Abstract
Similarly to semantics, the relations between information and data are also counterintuitive and somewhat confusing: In the everyday usage the term ‘information’ is used interchangeably with ‘data’ and we tend to think that more data leads to more information; and yet, in the context of Shannon’s information theory this is not necessarily the case.
