Abstract

Two experiments are described performed by ITEP group and two propositions of new studies are given. The first experiment permitted to reveal the manifestations of atomic electron binding energies in the spectra of scattered gamma rays. The second one is connected with measurement of the magnetic moment of 65Cu in the excited state with energy 1115.5 keV and mean lifetime (4.30 ± 0.17) × 10−13 s. The phenomenon of Coulomb fragmentation of gamma source molecules was used in this work. The first proposition relates to the possibility to study the shapes of Fermi surfaces of metals using the resonant scattering of annihilation quanta. In the second proposition the possibility is discussed to use the same process to study the nature of Tunguska meteorite.
