Abstract

Cogan or Cogan’s syndrome is a rare systemic inflammatory disease characterized by tinnitus, vertigo, hearing loss, and ocular inflammation. Aside from the effects on the sensory organs, the disease can manifest as a systemic vasculitis with a 10 % mortality rate. The most common treatments are high-dose corticosteroids.
