Abstract
Human rights are a central concern of The UNESCO Chair at the University of Puerto Rico, an active center for Latin American and Spanish language peace education. Communally run by an interdepartmental and interdisciplinary group of scholars associated with the University, the Chair advocates and practices Freirean methodologies in the academy and the community.
