Abstract
In this book, BER performance results for AG codes published in the literature have been verified through simulations. Those results allow us to draw solid conclusions about the performance, parameterization, and characteristics of AG codes. For both AWGN and Rayleigh fast fading channels, results have shown that the AG codes outperform RS codes of the same data block length and rate but over different finite fields due to the nature and construction of each kind of codes. This is a more appropriate and fair comparison than the ones used in the literature.
