Abstract

Once upon a time, life was comfortable for a physician. He was considered to be a man worthy of respect and honour, second only to the parson in a village. In matters of health care his was the final word. In many other social and moral issues he was often invited to the town hall to be one of the wide men of the community. He was knowledgeable, trustworthy, reliable and, above all, a person of diligence, duty and integrity. Then it all changed!
