Abstract
We have come a long way already. “Must we go further?” you might ask. Well, I cannot resist. What lessons can be learned from our evolutionary path and the history of our knowledge? Eschatology is the study of the ultimate destiny of humanity. Previously in the realm of religion and speculative philosophy, towards the end of the last century several prominent scientists began to pursue the topic according to what we really know about the universe. I think you can come to your own conclusions. But before I give you mine, let us first look first at the ultimate destiny of our galaxy. After all, intelligent life must co-exist and survive together with matter and energy in some form.
