Abstract
In this paper, an improved energy efficient bandwidth expansion (IEEBE) scheme is proposed to assign the available system bandwidth for users in wireless communication systems. When the system bandwidth is not fully loaded, the available bandwidth can be energy efficiently allocated to users. Simulation results show that energy efficiency of proposed IEEBE scheme outperforms the traditional same bandwidth expansion (SBE) scheme with sub-optimal bandwidth expansion coefficients (BEC). Thus, the proposed IEEBE can effectively assign the system bandwidth and improve energy efficiency.
