Abstract

This is a short introduction to the Special Session A1 International Programme on LandslidesIPL dedicated to the IPL projects and to the World Centres of Excellence (WCoE) in Landslide Risk Reduction, and their activities in the period between the WLF2 in Rome (2011) and the WLF3 in Beijing (2014) (Sassa et al. Landslides 9(2):285–297, 2012).
