Abstract

The term “soft tissues” is a nonspecific term, which can be interpreted to mean different things. In the context of this manual, “soft tissues” refers to all the non-bony structures, including fat, muscle, nerves or vessels. An important element in management is to remember it is more than just the skin. This is important not only in the repair of soft tissue injuries, but also in the planning of follow-up and aftercare in all trauma.
