Abstract
In today’s globalised environment, it’s easy to assume that BPM practices are similar worldwide. Yet, institutionalising BPM is influenced strongly by local market characteristics and geographic and corporate cultures. So, we investigated BPM practices in developing BRIC countries—and specifically, Brazil. We asked Brazilian academics Prof Dr Marcos Paulo Valadares de Oliveira and Prof Dr Marcelo Bronzo Ladeira (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil) how BPM is different in Brazil, a country with a distinctive business culture.
