Abstract

Welded products are a special design case. While the features in the previous chapters were dedicated to rolling, die casting and the injection of plastic materials, welding is important for load-bearing structures. This is the reason why the features that provide a realistic presentation of welded details that define the volume of the material to be welded, the length of welds, etc., are important. Two concepts are presented in detail, i.e., the automated (pre-set) and specific (detailed, special) design of the welds. This provides the reader with the possibility of using both concepts on a single steel structure and thus modelling a real environment or shape.
