Abstract
This article provides an overview of the origin and evolution of the concept of Ecosystem Assessment Management (EAM), including increased use of the framework among academics. EAM is a tool that uses information technology to assess the relationship between human and natural factors of a given eco-system and provide strategies for improved management in the future.
