Distributed System for Acquisition and Processing the sEMG Signal
This paper describes the development of a system for detecting, acquiring and processing surface electromyography signals and correlate them with information about the movement that originated the signal (using a 3-axis accelerometer). Both signals are sent to a PC, where they are plotted together by using software developed in JAVA. The user is allowed not only to see the data in real time but also to save it for further analysis in both amplitude and frequency domains. These recordings can be used to make a clinical history for patients under muscular recovering from muscle injury.
