Hybrid PI Sliding Mode Position and Speed Controller for Direct Drive

  • Conference paper
Mechatronics 2013

Abstract

This paper describes a control system for a direct drive with permanent magnet synchronous motor based on a hybrid P-PI sliding mode controller and reference trajectory generator. Simulation results show that the control approach can decrease the tracking error, enhance the system’s robustness and attenuate high frequency chattering in the control signal. Experimental studies confirmed the results of the simulation.
