Abstract
This paper presents the results of the modeling of an elastic shaft as an equivalent to a flexible coupling between two random axes using FEM. Calculus models are presented for the distorted structures of the elastic elements of two couplings—the universal coupling, known as the cardan joint, and the coupling with curved plate springs disposed on the contour.
