Abstract

Learning Curves can be used to estimate the time required to complete a selected number of units on an assembly line. The chapter shows how to apply learning curves for single model lines and for mixed model lines, and describes the learning rate, the learning coefficient, and the learning multiplier and how they are used to develop the learning curve. The learning curve and the unit standard time are combined to compute the learning limit for the product.
