Abstract

Patients with intraocular lens can suffer problems related with a progressive opacification of the lens. A human expert observes the state of the capsule located behind the lens and evaluates the level of vision described by the patient. In this article we described a method to detect the cells that can be grew between the posterior capsule and a lens inserted. Cells detection method integrates a series of techniques as thresholding techniques and edge detection.
