Assistive Technologies for the Interaction of the Elderly

Abstract

As the target group of the SI-Screen/Elisa project—the elderly—is quite heterogeneous, we address in this chapter the question of how to best approach an in-depth understanding of this group and its needs and wishes. We started by creating a novel typology according to the two descriptors of “degree of social integration” and “technical affinity”.
