Abstract

This thesis is concerned with the ultrafast dynamics of coupled electronic and nuclear vibrational motion that unfold when molecules are excited by light. Herein, ultrafast denote processes taking place on the femtosecond to picosecond timescale—the fundamental timescale of nuclear vibrational motion—ubiquitous in chemical reaction dynamics.
