Zusammenfassung

Zur ersten „DEBAU“ erhielt ich Auftrag und Chance, zur Demonstration der Raumstadt einen begehbaren Pavillon im Maßstab 1:1 von etwa 18 m Höhe zu errichten, der die Besucher auf mehrgeschossigen Mäanderwegen durch das Labyrinth der Struktur zu den Demonstrationstafeln und Modellen führte, die im Inneren einer größeren zentralen Halle frei angeordnet waren. Die Firma MERO stellte eines ihrer Stabtragwerkssysteme zur Verfügung, das vor Ort innerhalb weniger Wochen von sechs meiner Studenten der Technischen Hochschule Hannover montiert worden ist.

Abstract

With the first DEUBAU fair came the commission and the chance to make a full-scale demonstration of the Spatial City. In an approximately 18 m high walk-in pavilion, visitors followed meandering paths through the multi-storey labyrinth of the structure to demonstration boards and models, which were randomly scattered in a large central hall. The MERO company provided one of their tube spaceframe systems, which six of my students from the Hannover Institute of Technology assembled on location within a few weeks.
