Abstract
The term rendering is often used throughout our workflow — while working on your scene setup, you use it to check your material and light effects (evaluating shadows, transparency and reflection makes only sense in a rendering, for example), and in the end you need it to calculate your final image or animation, which you can export and process further in postproduction. Right from the beginning, you should be aware of the fact that you can edit the result of your 3D work with a number of compositing programs.
