Abstract

Mesozoic to Tertiary sedimentary and igneous sequences form the polyphase nappe edifice of the Argolis Peninsula, in which two Tertiary composite units and the Akros Nappe are differentiated. Both composite units include a basal sequence and overlying nappes emplaced in the Late Jurassic. The external Adhami Composite Unit and the internal Dhidhimi-Trapezona Composite Unit differ in their Upper Jurassic clastic facies of the basal sequences and in the nature of the overlying Upper Jurassic nappes.
