Zusammenfassung
Die im Amazonas-Gebiet als Fischfangpflanze verwendete Caryocar microcarpum hat Blätter, welche auch für Blattschneiderameisen abschreckend wirken; in Blättern sind Galli- und Ellagitannine, G, E und Saponine mit Oleanolsäure, 2β-Hydroxyoleanolsäure, Hederagenin und Bayogenin als Sapogeninen reichlich vorhanden.
