Zusammenfassung
Von den im Syllabus (1964) zur Familie gerechneten 8 Unterfamilien werden durch Airy Shaw (1973) nur die Capparoideae, Podandrogynoideae, Dipterygioideae und Buhsioideae hier belassen. Für drei, Cleomaceae, Emblingiaceae und Pentadiplandraceae, wird Familienrang angenommen, und die monogenerischen Calyptrothecoideae werden den Portulacaceae eingegliedert; andererseits wird die viel besprochene Gattung Koeberlinia weiterhin zu den Capparoideae gerechnet. Dazu einige Bemerkungen.
