Zusammenfassung
Nach modernen Auffassungen zählt die Familie über 2000 Arten in annähernd 120 Gattungen. Bisher wurden nur etwa 10% der Arten, welche 30–40% der Gattungen vertreten, chemisch mehr oder weniger ausführlich bearbeitet (1, 2). Die zwei chemischen Übersichtsberichte ([1]: Weltweit; [2]: Tropisch Westafrika) führen deutlich einige höchst interessante Tatsachen vor Augen:
