Abstract
Fungi of the genus Sorosporella are little known entomopathogens. Up to now, the fungus was mostly described in eastern Europe and North Amcrica as a pathogen of curculionid beetles or larvae of Noctuidae (e.g. Speare 1920). Recently, Sorosporella-killed grasshoppers were found in Mali (Shah 1993) and, sporadically, in Benin (Shah et al. 1994).
