Ähnlich wie bei der Gießtechnik stellt die Umformtechnik ein so großes und klassisches Gebiet der Fertigungstechnik dar, daß an dieser Stelle nur auf bestimmte Charakteristika und Sonderverfahren eingegangen wird, die für die Komponenten der Gasturbine wichtig sind und dies wiederum beschränkt auf Titan- und Nickellegierungen.
