Abstract
Climatic changes and the shifting of vegetation are permanent and continuous processes. The reason why we have to study these processes is their elevated speed, the acceleration of the movement. The special characteristics of the actual vegetation shift are its multivectorial nature and the multifactorial control. Multivectorial nature means, that several important changes are going on simultaneously, like climate change, acidification, eutrophication, desertification. Multifactorial control means that all these processes are controlled by a large set of environmental factors acting in different ways in time and space.
