Der Hauptsatz der Differential- und Litegralrechnung lautet:

$$\int_a^b {f(x)dx = F(b) - F(a)} $$

Dabei ist F eine Stammfunktion von f, d.h. eine Funktion, deren Ableitung gleich f ist (F′ = f).
